We’re still in John 1:14! As we soldier on with our examination of the “word” which became flesh, we’ll encounter some more tricky questions and more of Moses. Thankfully, today we wrap up the “prologue” to John’s Gospel, so we can move along to seeing Jesus’ life and ministry as recounted by the one who was likely Jesus’ closest friend.

We’ll focus in on John 1:14-18, with special attention for the term “monogenes” (meaning unique/one-of-a-kind, NOT “begotten”), and the question of whether John 1:18 expressly states that Jesus is God, or if it simply refers to him as the one-of-a-kind Son of the Father. (As you might expect, it’s complicated!)
